Galantamine (Razadyne®, Reminyl®) is a medicine which can help delay or turn around the decline of mental function in patients who are experiencing Alzheimer’s disease in its earlier stages. Galantamine (Razadyne®, Reminyl®) can increase the levels of the acetylcholine chemical messenger within the brain which deteriorate in the brain cells of Alzheimer’s patients. Galantamine (Razadyne®, Reminyl®) cannot cure Alzheimer’s and is considered a temporary, short-term treatment which may bring about some improvement.
