Loratadine, marketed as Claritine in the US and Loratadine is nonsedating antihistamine that is used to control nasal symptoms related to allergy and to inhibit histamine-induced wheals and flare (hives).
Loratadine is used for the treatment of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic itchy rashes of unknown origin.

You should not take Loratadine if you have ever had a reaction to loratadine.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have renal and hepatic insufficiencies; bladder neck obstruction or urinary retention; prostatic hypertrophy; asthma; or glaucoma speak with your physician about potential risks of Loratadine therapy before taking Loratadine.

Loratadine is considered safe but use may cause mild dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, drowsiness, altered salivation, thirst, flushing, anxiety, depression, impaired concentration, hypotension, hypertension, palpitations, syncope, tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal distress, constipation, diarrhea, weight gain, dyspepsia, joint or muscle pain, blurred vision, earache, eye pain, tinnitus, rash, itchiness, or photosensitivity.
