Diclofenac (Voltaren®, Voveran®, Voveran Emulget®) is part of the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is prescribed to patients who are suffering from minor to moderate degrees of pain. Diclofenac (Voltaren®, Voveran®, Voveran Emulget) can lower a fever and also reduce inflammation. It works by blocking the specific enzymes which the body uses to manufacture prostaglandins, which are pain-causing chemicals that also bring about fever, swelling and/or inflammation.
